MISSION & PHILOSOPHY

Mission

To inspire and nurture child development in a natural, organic setting; by providing a self-guided spectrum of social, emotional, physical, and intellectually stimulating activities, rooted in true Christian values.

Philosophy

The Orchard and Pea Patch Pre-Schools are founded upon four principles.

  1. Children are inspired by, and learn better in, a natural, supportive, home-like environment.
  2. Child Education should not only include academics, but also vital social, physical, emotional and spiritual development.
  3. The Pre-K years form a crucial developmental period in each child’s life and thereby should be handled with care and love.
  4. Parents play a fundamental role in their children’s development, therefore it is crucial to work with them in harmony, striving to support not only each child, but also their family, in achieving their goals.

Fundamental principles of child development teach us that children are more enthusiastic and able to retain knowledge when they are in a state of ease. Understanding this, we are dedicated to establishing a safe and organic learning environment. Our fully enclosed campus provides various opportunities for children to self explore through nature, as well as develop the necessary social skills through group play.

Our program has been designed to support your child's social, physical, and intellectual development, with an emphasis on healthy emotional and spiritual growth. All children are taught in an open forum so that each child can progress based upon their individual maturity level. Children are encouraged to interact with and learn from one another, rather than being divided into age-specific groups. They are introduced to the ideas of God's unconditional love for everyone, and in turn naturally learn to foster love for one another.

Emotional development is a key factor in preparing children to ease into their school years. Self-confidence provides the foundation on which academia is built upon, and is best nurtured in a loving, home-like environment. By fostering development in this critical area, it allows them to transition through seamlessly.
